Will there be enough food?

We guarantee to provide ample food to satisfy the heartiest of appetites.  This is based on the number of guests indicated to us when the final confirmations are given prior to the function date. There is usually food left over too!

Do you use our kitchen?

No! We are completely self-sufficient.  All food is prepared under strict supervision in our commercial kitchen and brought to you secured in transport containers which maintain a constant temperature and served to you using our own commercial equipment. Finger Food functions are prepared and cooked on-site but using our own equipment and preparation table so we do not need to use your kitchen.  All washing up is returned and done in our commercial dishwasher at our base to ensure the appropriate hygiene levels are maintained.

Do you cater for special diets?

Yes we are happy to provide suitable alternatives to meals for guests with special diets with prior notice, usually at no extra cost.

Do you supply tables and chairs?

We provide all our own equipment for the purpose of serving your meal for an easy set up. We do not bring extra tables or chairs for guests to sit at and these items will need to be hired elsewhere. We are happy to make some suggestions for this.

Why should we use Grinners?

Choosing the right caterer is a very important decision and will determine the final outcome of your function.  Selecting a caterer on price alone is not necessarily the wisest move and invariable ends up in despair.  At Grinners we have built our reputation on providing quality food and service, prepared in Health Department approved premises and for your protection, served by experienced staff. We are fully insured.  We are members of Restaurant & Catering Association of NSW and we adhere to the latest stringent food safety guidelines as laid down in our own National Food Safety Management System.

Are there any hidden costs?

All our catering packages are totally inclusive of all costs including staff, crockery, cutlery and everything needed to provide a professional service to you.  The final cost of your function will be confirmed with you prior to the event and there will be no surprises for you to contend with on the day of the function.

Can the quoted price change before the function?

The quoted price will vary if the number of confirmed guests varies by more than 5 from the original quoted number. This is normally minimal, unless the number changes drastically. We will discuss this once we get the final numbers from you, usually 7 days prior to the Event date.

Do we get staff to serve?

Yes, all Grinners menu packages are inclusive of experienced staff who arrive on time and are smartly dressed in our company uniform.  All staff are trained in safe food handling methods.

What happens to the left over food?

We will leave any leftovers you if adequate refrigeration facilities are available. You will need to supply your own food safe storage containers for this.

Do we need to provide tables for you to serve the food?

No, we supply our own serving tables, Linen Table Cloths and our Skirted Buffet Tables are available for those special occasions. All you need to supply are Tables, Chairs and Linen for your guests.

Do you provide assistance with planning the event?

Yes, we have staff available to come to your home or office and provide advice and assistance with any aspect of your function for a nominal fee.

What are your charges for children?

Children under 4 years of age are free. Childern 4 to 12 years of age are charged at a reduced rate. This rate varies depending on the menu.

Do you have a pre-payment plan?

Yes, in many instances where functions are booked well in advance, as in the case of weddings, we have available a provision to allow you to make progress payments leading up to the date of the function.

What form of payment do you accept?

Our policy is to receive payment in full prior to the function, unless other arrangements have been made. We accept Cash, Electronic Funds Transfer,  or Visa & Master Card.
